The Sapphô Story
Kim Smiley is an artist and social entrepreneur. For the past decade, she has worked as a senior executive in the nonprofit sector, serving alongside hundreds of agents of social change. Kim pursued advanced degrees at McGill and Harvard, and conducted post- graduate field research in Japan. Her studies focused on Hinduism and Buddhism. She is the recipient of many prestigious honours, including the John E. Thayer Award, bestowed by Harvard University to the student who graduates at the top of their class. Kim is an advisor to the social enterprise, Giving Arcade. Born in Montréal, Canada, Kim currently resides in Toronto. She has written and read poetry voraciously since the age of thirteen. Kim always carries a book of Pablo Neruda poems in her purse. Just in case.
